A family business, built around your ideas
Car Plate Creations is a family-owned business with roots in California in the early 1980s. After growing in the Northeast, we brought our custom plate business to Florida—and now share our work online, too.
Our family handles production and in-person shows, while the next generation helps customers discover and customize their plates online.
Three ways to make it yours
- 3D raised lettering: Choose a solid plate color. Your letters are vacuum-formed directly into the polystyrene (plastic) plate—not embossed metal.
- 2D sublimation: A flat printed design using a background, uploaded artwork, printed words—or a combination. Artwork with words already included does not need extra text.
- 2D + 3D combined: A catalog background or your uploaded artwork is printed flat, then a separate clear plastic overlay with vacuum-formed raised letters is placed on top. This overlay is separate from the protective cover.
Our plates are custom novelty and display accessories, not replacements for government-issued registration plates.
At a show or online
You may have met us making plates at a show. Online orders follow a production and shipping process instead of a while-you-wait service. Our usual production time is 1–3 business days, plus shipping.
